Mount Does Ottawa

Earlier this afternoon we arrived in Ottawa. The flight went well and travelling to our nearby hotel went off without a hitch (knock on wood). After grabbing some lunch at the hotel restaurant we decided to see the city. We took the local bus downtown and began at the Parliament buildings. We visited the Parliament lady statues and the Parliament cats. For those of you who haven't been here, the Parliament cats are a large number of stray felines that have been taken in by the local government. They have even built them a miniature Parliament house to live in. Some other places we went to were the Canal, the St. Laurier Hotel and my personal favorite Mama Grazzi's (a yummy Italian restaurant). I have never been to Ottawa so to have the opportunity to spend the day site seeing was amazing. This city is absolutely breathtaking and somewhere I would like to return to some day. Tomorrow we leave early in the morning for the next part of our adventure. Iqaluit here we come!

On a side note, my camera cord is buried somewhere in my luggage. I have some great photos of the day to upload once I find it. This might have to wait until I reach my final destination though.
